How does Afterpay work?

Afterpay is available for online orders up to $2000. Browse our online store and add items to your shopping bag. When checking out, select Afterpay from the available payment methods. You will be directed to Afterpay’s website.

If you are using Afterpay for the first time, you will need to register and provide your payment details to complete the transaction. If you have used Afterpay before, you can simply login and pay for your order.

Late fees may apply if payments are not made on time.

The funds for the first payment must be available on your nominated card at the time of checkout.

If you fail to make payment, you will be charged a late payment fee of $10, with a further $7 fee added 7 days later, if the payment is still unpaid.

What do I need to use Afterpay?

To use Afterpay you will need to

  • Live in New Zealand

  • Be over 18 years of age

  • Have an New Zealand debit or credit card

  • Have a valid and verifiable email address and mobile number

  • Be capable of entering into a legally binding contract

You will be advised at the time of purchase whether you will be required to make your first payment upfront. For orders over $500, you will always be required to make the first payment at the time of purchase. Once you have finalised your online order, a payment schedule will be emailed to you by Afterpay.

  • There are no extra fees to use Afterpay when purchasing.

  • If you fail to make a payment, you will be charged an initial late fee of $10, with a further $7 added 7 days later if the payment remains outstanding.

Items purchased with Afterpay from Avocado Movement, can be returned for a refund subject to our Returns Policy.

Refunds will be processed by adjusting your payment agreement with Afterpay, if you have paid more than the adjusted amount Afterpay will then arrange a refund to be paid to you.

To cancel a placed online order, you must contact us within 24 hours.

Once you have finalised your order and processed payment it cannot be changed, however you can cancel your order. If you wish to cancel your order please contact us on 027 2741879 or email returns@avocadomovement.nz.

Every effort will be made to accommodate the cancellation, as long as it has not been dispatched. If you cancel before your order is dispatched you will receive a full refund. If your items have already been sent then your order can no longer be cancelled.

Once your order arrives you will need contact us on 027 2741879  to confirm cancellation and return. The customer bears the cost of shipping the item back to WordPress Flatsome and the item must be received in the original condition and with original packing and Order Confirmation Email as this is needed as proof of purchase.

All new Afterpay customers are required to make their first payment at the time of purchase. You will no longer be considered a ‘new’ customer once you have fully paid off your first order and 6 weeks have passed since you placed that order. For online orders under $500 placed thereafter, your first payment will only be deducted 2 weeks after your purchase and your last payment deducted 8 weeks after purchase. For all orders over $500, your first payment will always be deducted at the time of purchase.
